Inventory Budgets

Preparation of budgets is always a time consuming and reiterative process. Inventory Budgets has been designed to facilitate this process, and to provide a simple and easy means of data entry. An annual budget quantity and a budget value are all that is required to commence the process with pre-defined user quantity and value spreads automatically extrapolating the quantities and values into each calendar period.

Quantity spreads cater for seasonal fluctuations while the price spreads cater for increases/decreases in value or special promotions for specific periods throughout the calendar year.

As any number of quantity and value spreads can be pre-defined, and with a range of combinations for entering the budgets, the reiterative process can quickly and easily be run with different configurations and strategies until the desired results are obtained.

The screenshot shows a value spread that will increase in the value in the July period with a promotion decreasing the value in November and December before reverting to the increased July value again for January through March.

Numerous marketing strategies can therefore be analysed by mixing and matching the spread codes.
