Business Analyst1Business Analyst Graphing

The Greentree Business Analyst allows you to view key information graphically, and gives the ability to customise the graph to suit each user.  The presentation of graphs allows you to view comparisons and patterns in data. Specific values belonging to Suppliers, Customers, Fixed Assets, General Ledger accounts, and Inventory items can be viewed graphically for individual items. The information that is graphed is also displayed in a table, where you can select whether or not data series are to be displayed.

The Graph Designer is a very useful tool for performing queries and presenting graphs of such information, for example; depict the 10 top selling inventory items last month, the customers with the highest overdue balances in the last 6 months, the sales year to date for customers belonging to a specified salesperson, and so on. The visible level of flexibility and simple graphical representation within the tool, provides yet another vital layer of business understanding in GT3.

(You can modify the appearance of the graph, and select to represent the values as an area chart, bar graph, dots, lines, or a pie chart. X and Y axis titles, grids, fonts, and colours can be user-defined, to highlight specific data series. These modifications are saved against the module, and are applied for all companies that use the module.

The Graph Designer allows you to set up unlimited graphs of various values from AP Suppliers, AR Customers, FA Assets, GL Accounts, IN Inventory items, or JC Jobs.  You can graph information from the current period, a specified period, or a range of periods; filter objects through query statements; select various useful values to be graphed with optional filters on the values; and sort the output by a selected key.

Once graphs have been set up in one company, any other company using the same calendar for the relevant module can apply it. Graphs can be displayed in a "business view", either as a window or as the Greentree background, which you can refresh as required.  If Workflow is used, the graphs can also be selected to be displayed as part of the Workflow desktop.
